Each semester, the College of Engineering and Applied Science recognizes graduating students with awards in eight categories that reflect the values of the college community. "My time at CU has left me with many friends and mentors that I will always be grateful for. Looking back, the best advice I can give is to be engaged in the activities, people and resources CU has to offer."

What is your best piece of advice for other students?
"My journey at CU has been driven by a deep enthusiasm for nuclear fusion and a relentless curiosity for the complexities of science and engineering. I've discovered that following your dreams can lead to remarkable opportunities. My advice to you is simple: follow your passion, seek opportunities that excite you, and never underestimate the power of curiosity in shaping your academic and professional endeavors."

What does graduating from college represent for you?
"To me, graduating from CU represents the culmination of the experiences, friendships, growth, struggles, and learning I have engaged in over the last four years. I am grateful for the mentors and communities that have helped me navigate this journey, and I am excited to carry forward what I have learned in the adventures ahead!"

What is your best piece of advice for other students?
"Act like a 5-year-old. Have a curiosity that is insatiable and celebrate your ignorance. Not knowing how difficult something is may be the very reason you end up doing it, changing your life and influencing those around you."

What does graduating from college represent for you?
"As a first-generation student to immigrant parents, graduating college represents the sacrifice that my parents made to get me here. It also represents the unwavering support that I have been receiving from my mother, siblings, and extended family. Education was always a pillar in our family so it is very important to me that I was able to pursue a relevant degree such as mechanical engineering from CU Boulder. An academic path in which I can honor my family and contribute to the world.
One piece of advice (among many others) I would give for other students is to seize every opportunity. Even if you think you are underqualified, or unfit, the answer is always no until you ask."

From your time at CU, what will you carry with you into your next chapter?
"I have learned so much, and not just from the places that I would have expected. I have found myself to have more of an appreciation for the things that you can learn anywhere and from anyone. I don't think that I will ever stop learning, and I feel like through the programs here, I have been able to foster that well."
